Dark Places
I have been to some dark places where the light does not shine
the emptiness that I felt there was like nothing before
Having battled through a life that always condemned me
always searching for that light that will point to much more.
At times I have been blinded by the glory of battle…
(though admitting every battle I was always in fear)
never once did I believe that war was an answer…
yet my whole life was doing battle year after year.
Climbing out of a hole that seems to deep to contemplate
when the handles you once trusted have gone
support is so important when you are climbing this mountain
so that you may reach the light that is shone.
