 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

We should know that if our tent,
Our earthly home was destroyed;
God will build to make us content,
Of a house that will be enjoyed.

A house made not by our hands,
But eternal up in Heaven;
By the Lord through His voice commands,
What our faith God has given.

For in this tent we quetch and groan,
Yearn for the heavenly dwelling;
Our faith causing us to moan,
Our desire compelling.

A desire for to be clothed,
Because I am feeling naked;
For my nudeness I have loathed,
Since it is sinfully wicked.

While we are still within this tent,
We still groan and being burdened;
Not for that we would be content,
With the disgrace that has happened.

What is mortal swallows up life,
God has prepared us for this thing;
Preparing for the midst of strife,
His Spirit guaranteed to bring.

We will always have confidence,
Good courage as to be at home;
Regardless of my residence,
And no matter where I may roam.

For we are away from the Lord,
But we walk by faith not by sight;
To continue in one accord,
While remaining in the light.

Good courage makes us confident,
From the body we are away;
For the Lord assures us a tent,
As long as we trust and obey.

So, whether at home or away,
Unto Him we will aim to please;
In acceptance go not astray,
Putting the heart and mind at ease.

We must appear before the Lord,
Before the judgment seat of Christ;
Checks the book of life if we scored,
All the times that we sacrificed.
