To God Be The Glory
I often get compliments
On the poems I love to write.
Many people seemed to get blessed,
But to glorify myself would not right.
I cannot write a single word
Without inspiration from God above.
I feel honored that He chose me
To use words to show His love.
I go to Him in humble prayer
And ask Him to give me what to say.
And I just began with faith in Him
And He always leads the way.
It sometimes amazes others,
Well it always does me too
How God can take a simple poem
And let His glory show through.
The Lord gives me the words,
I'm His messenger with a story.
It blesses me to bring you a poem,
But to God be the glory!
