Right now, i feel so different
After talking, to my best high schoolfriend duff, for close to an hour, on the phone spent
I do t now feel, so broken and bent
I now feel solid, as steel, not weak with dent
Talking to duff for me was a true blessing and heaven sent
And for me was the best and greatest, time of my life, living, and love, on the phone, talking to duff, that i ever spent
Mostly he listened. And i talked and talked, about my troubles, turmoils and strife
I dont think he realizes, by listening to me, and knows my heart, he SAVED--MY--LIFE
I felt since 1978--when i was so broken, from the loss of our baby
I felt so hurt, and alone, all on my own, but now after all that occured, all these years, ups and downs, smiles and challenges and frowns, i right now felt different, with duff ias my friend, with my heart to lend, , i felt so happy and respected and free
