Have pity on me,
Showing your mercy;
Through your eyes and see,
Loving kindness be.
Show me compassion,
Wipe out evil deeds;
Mold a new fashion,
Take out all the weeds.
Wash me from my guilt,
Cleanse me from this sin;
I need to be built,
A new heart within.
I know I rebel,
Belong not with you;
I should go to hell,
Eternity through.
But I do not want,
Be with you instead;
Something that does haunt,
Really makes me dread.
Your judgment hand down,
I will understand;
In sorrow I drown,
Within sinking sand.
Guilty I was born,
Sinner in the womb;
On earth I sojourn,
Till time for my tomb.
You desire truth,
And sincerity;
Not to be uncouth,
But austerity.
Deep down inside me,
Teach me Your wisdom;
With insight to see,
Your Divine Kingdom.
